[ A chuckle ] Even then, sir, it's comforting to feel that the crazy-fun kidwolf in you doesn't seem to have left. I've heard a lot of the old stories, and here and there are the files about you.
I thought they were kind of fun. "Adventure Time with An'yu the Human and Henry the Dog.", the others put it. [ Brig really does think they sounded like a lot of fun. ]
Well, Adventure Time always was more mature than people gave it credit for. [ Brig pulls out his pack and motions for permission to smoke. Might not be allowed here in his workshop ] Doesn't have to be the same dickery, but it can still be "Adventure Time", right?
How so, sir? [ Watching the Inquisitor at work ] Sounds like there are some things you regret. [ There's caution as he says that. Henry Lim was there in the thick of it since the beginning. And a lot of the Keepers he'd met have had scars and stories. ]
Don't mind me, sir. [ He pulls out his tablet ] I'll just watch you work. And browse the descriptions of some of your wares. [ He never really paid attention to the Abubot way back, but it's been awhile since he joined the Vigil. Some things had caught his eye before Henry had arrived. He's really thinking about putting in some orders. ]
[Nodding once, and then focusing on his work. As promised, fifteen minutes later, he's pushing back from the worktable with a satisfied sigh and lighting up a cigarette.]
Well, one thing's for sure about the pipe... it's a Relic now. Guess it absorbed a lot of Kaien's essence into it.
[ A joke, just to keep the mood light ] Guess it makes the weed taste better? [ But there is a look of concern in his eyes as he looks inquiringly at the Pipe ]
[ He holds an arm out and grasps the Inquisitor's shoulder ]
We'll bring him back, sir. [ Brig's always been the optimist. If there's a chance to save someone, he's always believed the best outcome is still possible, even when preparing for the worst. He says the words with genuine concern. ] Move Hell and high water, if there's a way to bring him back, we will.

[And now he has everything he needs. Taking a hack at that pipe now --
-- but not literally, of course. He's no studying it intently, with the goggles that he's just slipped on.]

Always had a knack for these things, sir?

[Flashing a grin in your direction, and shrugging.]
Everyone's got to grow up sometime, though. And growing up is exactly what happened to me.

[Even if 108 and Drake seem to think it's pretty cool...]

They were good for the time. None of us can afford to dick around the way that we used to now.

Yep. Just wish my younger self learned that sooner.

[Smiling once before ducking his head.]
Give me fifteen minutes with this pipe. I should have a good appraisal by then.

Horacio has nothing on Henry's icon. haha
Lol
[Heh.]
It's got a lot of psychometric readings on it. Might be enough to use it to track Kaien down - or whatever's left of him.
[Saying that softly. He doesn't want to think about that, but he's a practical man. It's within the realm of possibility.]

Yeah, I'm sure we'll try. That's good enough for me for now.
